about
This song emerged soon after releasing our debut album Resistance from Within and it always intended to be an introduction to the album. It contains several different musical styles and reflects our search for the new sound in the band´s new line-up. The lyrics depict the process of searching our true self in the pollution of frameworks and prefered ways of living imposed upon us through years of formal education and social conformity. By repressing our emotions and giving ourselves up solely to rationality, we conducted ourselves in a way that lacks any form of spontaneity and creativity typical of human beings.
lyrics
Years and years I’ve been exposed to (methodical) destruction of myself. My dreams have been controlled, moral sense forced on me! I was trained to stand in line and fit in the role! The role of noble citizen that’s not me anymore! Now I have to fight against myself to become me again! I have to tear up straitjacket that I’ve been put into!
